2.1 Story Making
I Am...
At some point our experience is biologically transformed into perception. "Owning" knowledge differentiates our existence from everyone and everything else. This intrinsic bifurcation affords sentience and the reflection of that "ownership" precipitates self in memory, current sensation, and expectation of experience.
Story is the abstract thread weaving our sentient being into a persistent "self." It is a higher level of modeling substantiating and facilitating our actions beyond instinctual response.

Self image is an overlapping, looping process incorporating the thread of your space-time & sensory imagery with the feeling of "ownership" in reflective presence.
The short cycle of this loop affords an additional "feeling" of control as consciousness conceives the very recent past as NOW. Will emerges as the only recognizable "cause & effect" of existence.
2.1.2 Making Past, Present & Future
Magic Pen & Paper
We are invisible authors of our own story. We record our actions and the world "as if" it were "real" and not a confabulation. Most recall is reminiscence or reconstruction for analysis. Our world view includes us in a way that takes away the writer of the story.
Our personal timeline is an incomplete story. We do not track our way in memory by markers of each experience, only those that are salient to the non-conscious and conscious.
2.1.3 Welcome to My Universe
Your View Becomes You
In the process of "making ourselves up" we ignore our perceptual authorship. In other word, we will say: "I am me an this is real!" instead of "This is what I think is going on..."
For each of us, this become our story, the one we live. The one we work from and to as reference.
The reality of "the making of you" is part of perception's opaque and precarious veil. Each new engagement carries some probability of discrepancy.
